Carlos and Luis Enrique Mejia Godoy were both born in Somoto, Madriz, to a family of self-taught musicians. It was this strong musical background that has largely shaped and molded their abilities over the years. They learned to not only play musical instruments but to write songs from a very young age. Many of their songs are inspired by the traditions of the people of Nicaragua and the love for freedom and peace that is widespread amongst her people.
