Tambien si notan, el sonido y la manera que suena el redoblante es distinto a las otras procesiones de las otras parroquias. Chinandega, Nicaragua 2011. The procession of the Holy Burial from the San Agustin parish passing throughout the streets of Chinandega in the afternoon. Nicaragua - guitar players in Granada [00:31]
These guys are playing a song called Pobre Maria. You would hear songs like this throughout Nica, not just in bars or tourist areas. I would go for walks and hear people playing guitar in their living room singing songs like this. One of my nights in the Miraflor reserve, I stayed with a local family and after dinner by candlelight (they had no electricity) the father played guitar and the daughter sang this song. It was so special. I absolutely adore the music, the guitar and the beautiful Nicaraguan people playing it.

St. Mary's Parish Festival 2011 Social Xolotlan Dancing Group.mpg [11:41]
The annual St. Mary's Parish Festival in honour of Our Lady of Freedom (Maria SS. Della Libera) is held on the first Sunday of August. It consists of Mass in the small church where the Italian community gathers along with others from throughout the city of London, Ontario and surroundings followed by mostly Italian entertainment into the night. It is like spending a day in Italy without ever leaving London. The hospitality of the parish is widely known. In short a great day for all to enjoy. THe Xolotlan Dancing Group thrilled the crowd with the dances of Nicaragua.
