Masaya Marketplace [01:06]
We also got to do some souvenir shopping at a marketplace in Masaya. Benny (from Mision Para Cristo, Jinotega, Nicaragua) introduced us to some guys who guided us around the market, also acting as translators & barterers. I mostly hung around Michael & Gene, & our guide was Luis. After buying a few souvenirs, we had enough & just stayed at the table in the "food court". It was relaxing just looking around & hanging out!

Jicaro Island Ecolodge is located just a few minutes from the Colonial Town of Granada in Nicaragua. Here you can explore freely and learn about the history of Granada. The locals are friendly people and there is so much to see and do here. There are also plenty of places to eat local food! If you wish, we can arrange for you to go to La Escuela Cedric Martin. Here you can bring the children supplies that we collect here at the Ecolodge and have the oportunity to hang out with them during the day. It is a great, fufilling experience. There is also plenty of shopping in the markets in Granada.
