Southern spotted skunk (Spilogale angustifrons) rescued in urban Masaya, Nicaragua. This is a juvenile, was found with a parental unit near which could not be retrieved. Had been injured and was hiding in a rock wall. It now appears healthy, suffering mostly from some swelling in one eye. We will try to return it to health and release it into the wild in Laguna de Apoyo Nature Reserve, where the species is abundant and native.
