Local Nicaraguan Screaming at Bus Driver! [01:37]
While in Nicaragua and on my way into town the tire on the van that I was riding in exploded and we had to pull over to change it. Luckily we didn't crash as there were over 25 people sardine in this 8 person van! One of the passengers was so upset that he had to wait for the tire to be changed and wanted a discount on the price. Although many won't be able to understand the words, just watch his energy and actions and you'll get a good laugh I promise!

Nicaragua, Estelí to Tisey by Truck [00:30]
In Nicaragua if you have a truck you have a 20 person vehicle. If you have a truck in Nicaragua you pick up passengers. If you ride in the back you hold on. If you ride in the back sunburn happens so wear sunscreen. There are bars all around the back of the truck we were in as well as a roll bar affair where we could hold on and stand up.

La Casita in Nicaragua [00:36]
August 8, 2008 This is your view from your table at a delightful little restaurant in Esteli, Nicaragua. La Casita, a Nicaraguan restaurant that serves home made yogurt, whole wheat bread, feta cheese, honey, humus and muesli is a short, inexpensive cab ride just on the outskirts of Esteli. Its was started by an NGO who was telling people about how to start their own business and then hit on the idea of starting a restaurant that demonstrates the principle. We fed 5 people one Sunday night for between $5 and 10 for all of us. They have delightful little wooden puzzles, jams, cards with photos on them and is a very charming little place. It is a must see if in Esteli.

Rivas, Nicaragua. [00:49]
This is a video of the Parque Central in Rivas, Nicaragua. This town played an important role in Nicaraguas history. Cornelius Vanderbilts company Accessory Transit used to use Rivas as a stopping point on its route to ferry goods and passengers during the Californias gold rush. The town has a big market and its worth a look around. They also have the Museum de Antropologia e Historia that is interesting to visit.
