Nicaragua Trip Part 20: AJ Fernandez Rolls a Cigar [00:56]
In this short video, we see AJ Fernandez put a wrapper on a cigar. What isn't seen is that this was actually a LIT cigar that AJ put the wrapper on. Prior to this video, AJ removed the wrapper from a lit cigar. The new wrapper gives AJ an opportunity to test the new wrapper.

In the US Army there is a "Culture of Cowardice." It feels like everyone has been trained to cover their asses and lay low for 20 years so they can get out and collect their pension. This really bothered my while I was in Nicaragua, because I was young and wanted to just get things done. So when I would get in trouble for working hard in the name of safety, and no one would care when I went and sat down for the rest of the day it didn't make any sense to me. Especially when I knew that I could raise my hand at any moment and volunteer to walk around the roads of Iraq with a shovel looking for IED's. Don't tell me you care about my safety when you would send me to die without a second thought out in the desert. The day after I was kicked out of the fork lift I was sitting in the motorpool office waiting for them to print me off a slip of paper which would become my license. Even though I was never tested on the machine, I would have a slip of paper saying I could drive it. While I was waiting a soldier came in and said there was an 18 wheeler blocking the road outside. He wanted to know if anybody could move it. I raised my hand and said I could do it. I had never driven an 18 wheeler before. He asked if I had a license, and I told him, "No, but if you need it moved I can do it." And I stood up to walk outside and move the truck, when another soldier in the waiting room chimed in and said, "Dude I wouldn't I heard some kid got pulled out of a forklift yesterday for ...

Viernes de Dolores 2011: Via Crucis - San Antonio [03:26]
El Via Crucis de San Antonio en mi niñez era diferente. La Parroquia usaba una imagen del Cristo crucificado. Esta fue la primera vez que vi esta nueva imagen de la parroquia. Este fue Viernes de Dolores antes del Viernes Santo. The procession for the way of the cross from the San Antonio Parish used to be different when I was a kid. I remember they used a representation of Christ crucified on the cross. This was the first time that I saw this new image from the parish. This was Friday of Sorrow before Good Friday.
