Nicaragua - guitar players in Granada [00:31]
These guys are playing a song called Pobre Maria. You would hear songs like this throughout Nica, not just in bars or tourist areas. I would go for walks and hear people playing guitar in their living room singing songs like this. One of my nights in the Miraflor reserve, I stayed with a local family and after dinner by candlelight (they had no electricity) the father played guitar and the daughter sang this song. It was so special. I absolutely adore the music, the guitar and the beautiful Nicaraguan people playing it.

Inside the Garbage Dump [01:58]
A short view inside the garbage dump in Chinandega, Nicaragua. The entire village surrounding the dump works here, sifting through the trash. Everyday they're out in the dump looking for metal to sell or something salvageable to use. Disease, hunger, and addiction to glue/paint thinner, so hunger isn't as bad, are common here.

dinner music - keyboard power ballad - Isla de Ometepe, Nicaragua [00:45]
CS and LB stopped for fresh fish at a restaurant (someone's porch they'd recently turned into a business) on Isla de Ometepe, Nicaragua, and were surprised when the proprietor finished off a few Toñas, hauled out a keyboard, and treated us to a sparkling rendition of Bryan Adams' 1991 power ballad, "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You."
