this is guasacate beach on nicaragua's pacific coast. it is just north of popoyo beach, a popular surfing location. video was shot in sept 2011 and taken about the middle of this 1+ mile long beach. guasacate itself is a beautiful hidden wonder in nicaragua. accessed via a 2 hour or so ride on dirt backroads, it is harder to reach than many other popular beaches. the break it fairly strong, so it is not an ideal swimming beach, but the ambiance of everything is A+

We only had one motorcycle so I filmed and Meltari drove. Nicaragua is a beautiful place and the places I went it what most of Central America looks like when you get out of the tourist traps and canopy tours. I love getting away from everything. I never feel more free than when I am on the road with nowhere to go and no idea where I am.

The Nicaraguan Rivera SA has been trying to steal land that does not legally belong to them & have been bulling the Nica People of Salinas Grandes to give up their land. As Rick Hilborn the spokesperson for the Nicaraguan Rivera SA states in an email we do things the "Nica Way".
