There is a hill with a cross on top of it on the edge of the city of Jinotega, Nicaragua. A path will get you there, right to the cross. This awesome view is from there. If you ever visit Jinotega, definitely climb that hill!

This White-winged Dove was rescued from some boys with a slingshot by the rangers at Laguna de Apoyo Nature Reserve in Nicaragua. It had an injured wing but no complete breaks were evident. We kept the bird two months, during which we twice attempted unsuccessfully to return the bird to nature. The third time worked.
