Bailes Gueguense Diriamba, Nicaragua
Traditional Nicaraguan dances. which happened in Diriamba for the Patron Saint parties of St. Sebastian They dress up like the Spaniards who conquered them and make fun of them with the huge crazy hats and masks. Then they do like a theater piece, illustrating how "macho" they are and how they took advantage of the Indigenous people here. The man with the big yellow fabric circle is supposed to be a toro and he basically pushes back the crowd to make room for the dancers and taunts the Spanish.
