Travel with kids?

Hi!New to the site and am interested in if it is safe to travel with my two children in Nicaragua?We are planning a trip in Dec. and my idea is not to prebook too much,just kind of go from when we get there.Is this crazy?Thanks for any info!

I went to Nicaragua las week and I don't think you are going to have any problems. Are you planning to rent a car? or do you know someone in Nicaragua?

Traveling with kids in Nicaragua is safe if you're safe about it. As long as you plan everything out, stay at reputable places, and don't go anywhere shady, you'll be fine. Nicas are some of the most hospitable people I've met.

If you have kids who are excited about going somewhere special (like a Disney Cruise) and they have calenders or planners have the start the day before you leave and write "1 more day!" and do that until you get up to the recent date on the calender. My kids did this with the planners their school handed out and loved decorating their "Countdown" box! That would be great.
