Best Time to Visit / Mejor Tiempo Para Visitar

Hi I would like to know when is the best time to visit Nicaragua (in terms of weather of course)? I plan on visiting Managua (briefly), Leon, BlueFields and Corn Island. My whole family is from Nicaragua (I was left out and born in the US) and I have never visited but plan on doing so next year. Thanks for the information!

Generally the temperature is about the same year round. There are two seasons. The rainy season is from May 15th to Nov. 15. The wettest months are September and October.
During the dry season there is more wind. March and April are the hottest months. Lodging is at a premium during Christmas and Semana Santa at the resort areas. (Next Easter will be April 21, 2004). It is best to go to the Atlantic side during the dry season. Hope this helps. John
