cheep accom (san juan del sur)????

hey guys
my girl and i are spending the winter in central america and are looking for cheep accomidations near the surf.
i hear niccuragua is alot cheeper than costa rica but it is hard to find info about cheep accom in nicc.
can you help us out?
any info about the area would be appreciated

Hey Guys! Great to hear you are traveling to Nicaland. I am a former Peace Corps Volunteer and I spent some time there. Hotel Elizabeths is really cheap. Also there are a few hostels across from "la parada", or the town bus stop. They range anywhere from 5-20 dollars a night. This town also offers a cool spot for americans called Ricardos which is a big tourist hangout. If you have any other questions about Nicaragua, please feel free to ask.
