I hope someone on this forum writes English because I do not write Spanish. I have a computer software that translates for me, but it is not muy bueno.
I am planning a trip to Nicaragua (Granada, Managua) in Jan 2001. Is there a good web site that gives info about these towns? Can anyone suggest a good hotel about $40.00 a night? |

Hi - my name is Chuck. I live in Los Angeles, CA and visited Nicaragua and Costa Rica a few years ago. In Managua I first
stayed at the Los Mercedes, then later the Camino Real. But both are much more than $40 per night. The Los Mercedes is across the street from the airport in Managua and is closer to $40 than the Camino Real. In Granada, there were only two hotels - the Hotel Alhambra and the Hotel Colonial. I stayed at the Alhambra. It was about $30 a night. The Colonial was probably cheaper. I cannot suggest visiting Bluefields if you are tempted. Otherwise, Nicaragua is a wonderful country and the people are generally some of the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. So, next year - probably around March or April, I'll return. Hope your trip is a good one. ------------------ |
