hola just anote to wish you all a merry x mas we wish all in nicaragua a happy new year too will be returning in july want to go to bluefeilds and corn islands pearl lagoon etc is possible to get from san carlos by bus to el rama as want to see castillo as well or need to fly from managua .can you get to bluefields on a intrnatoinal flight from states. anyway doing my research and appreciate help for our next holiday i wish i was back twere at the moment on the beach at san juan del sur but im afraid its freezing here but were looking forward to xmas and a few drinks we are constructing a web site of our holiday last year and will post url when complete. so all the best from e scosia and lona donald and sarah

Hi there! Glad to hear from you guys again.
There are twon ways to get to Bluefields. 1) By land, which entails driving (or riding a bus) to El Rama, and then taking a boat to Bluefields (about 12 hours), or by plane (about $100 r/t).
More or less the same goes if you want to go to El Castillo, but there is a "summer road" to San Carlos from Managua via Chontales.
No international flights into Bluefields; have to go to Managua to take either "La Costeña", or "Atlantic Airlines".
