Volunteer work near Leon

After a short while in Nicargua earlier this year I'm really interested to spend more time in the Leon area doing volunteer work. Happy to consider most things... especially work with children... or manual work. I can speak some spanish (though not very well!) does anyone know of any organisations that I could contact?

I'm sure there are alot...have you tried the peace corps...Maryknoll...or work through some churches? Well I have more info on the subject at home...but I don't know if it is all in Leon...most work isn't limited to just one area...it is more widespread...so narrowing it down to just work in Leon might be difficult...you can find info on Voluteer work in Nicaragua through a tourist series book also...try the LET'S GO CENTRAL AMERICA series...they usually carry listings of volunteer organizatrions in Washington D.C. and all over that do field work in Nicaragua...or you can contact the local Nicaraguen consulate or embassy in your area they might be able to assist you...if you have any other questions feel free to post them and I'm sure any one will be willing to give some input on their behalf.

well some of the institutions that i know they do that are:
1- CARITAS
2- PIPITOS
3- INSBI

all of them are nation wide, do you want phone numbers? i don't have'em right now but my friends in this site living in Nicaragua can help us.
