Importing humanitarian goods (English)

Can anyone advise me on how to legally import items for humanitarian use duty free and with as little hassle as possible? I also need to know what items would be specifically prohibited. i.e. outdated antibiotics???

karl, i think you may have post this to help out but outdated antibiotics would not do any good to anyone, even if this country is in great need. the nicaraguan consulate may be able to help but it would be best to get in contact with a non-profit organization in nicaragua. i have heard the mexican red cross is really helpful. they are one of the first to arrive at a site where a crisis has occurred in latin america.
