Hi All,

If you are in the States and know of surplus books in Spanish the library in San Juan del Sur would welcome receiving them. Please click the library link at http://www.sanjuandelsur.org.ni. This is the very first lending library in Nicaragua. The library serves several rural schools in addition to the village. Click the Schools Project at http://www.newtonsanjuan.org for a map of the schools.

The needs are children books, romance novels for teenage girls, westerns for the guys, how-to-fix-it books, dual language books and ESL material. New or used books are welcome.

The library is across from the church. Please drop by a a visit. The library started in September 2001 with 200 books. Today there are over 4,500. The return rate is excellent.

Thanks,
John Clement
