For any of you who are juniors & seniors in high school, or have kids in those grades. The Natioanl Foundation for Advancement in the Arts now has this program for any junior & senior who has a talent for music (instrumental & voice), theater (musical & spoken), visual arts (photography, film & video), writing, & dance (incluyendo bailes folkloricos). The deadline to submit an application is April 16, 2001.

eligibility requirements are as follow:

a. applicant has to be a junior graduating in the spring of 2002
b. if not enrolled in high school, applicant must be either 17 or 18 on/or after December 1, 2001
c. applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanente residents (unless applying for jazz/music)

You may request more information by sending an email to nfaa@nfaa.org, also our website is http://www.artsawards.org. ****before you start fricking out, and wonder why we are excluding the rest of the states... well we're not. for the rest of the states we have the National ARTS program. same requirements, except the applications don't go out until April.
