Are you male or female? What do you want to do? The celebration of 15th, it is most a Mexican-Spain Tradition. The Aztecs are the one celebrating the transformation of a child into womenhood. At 15 it was able to procreate and able to maintain a family and house. That particular and cultural tradition has been carried by the mexican people and converted in our times into big celebrations, major expenses and a tradition with them of getting God-Parents (Padrinos) for all the expenses. For ring, Pendant, Dress, Gloves, Shoes, food, Saloon, etc. According to a study done by the University of Chicago, a mexican family can expend between $5,000.00 to $25,000.00 dollars into a celebration.
In Nicaragua was celebrated by going to Church ad asking the Priest to celebrate a Te-Deum (Gracias a Dios y Bendiciones) to ask God for his blessings into your life. This celebration was more done to the female. As far I can remember I never saw a celebration regarding a male for his 15th, birthday.
The Jews celebrate Ba'ar-Mithzavh for the male when it reach 14th years of age.
Hope my comments help you.
