I appreciated the feedback from the two of you. Where were you guys born? I really miss Nicaragua a lot. When I retire I plan to live in Managua, again. My poetry would probably prettier if I did. I wish I could go now, but it is not the right time. Looking back, I feel that I missed out on a lot of great fun. Each time that I was in Nicaragua, as a child, I could tell that one can have more fun growing up there than here in the states. Only a Nicaraguan who has grown up there can correct me, but I do know that I had a lot of fun each time that I vactioned there. All the rivers and lagos that one can swim in and the hunting in the jungles, there really wasn't anything like it here in the states. Does anyone agree with me? And the cooking tasted different. It was better! And more wholesome and natural. Can I get a witness?

I agree with you completely since only us who grew up in Nicaragua know exactly what you mean. The memories, the food, the trips to the beach, the costums and traditions but most of all it was that people were real and you knew who your neighbors were. It will stay in our hearts for ever...

I was born in managua in 1978... personally I only stayed their for 2 1/2 years so my memories of nicaragua are only linked to my grandmother =]. But i have heard too many stories from uncles and aunts and can say with all honesty that I missed out not growing up their. I hope one day to go back and enjoy myself and have memories to tell others.
