We're U.S. citizens, retired in Chapala, Mexico. We've considered moving down there, but I've done a little research and have questions. How hard is it to find long-term rentals? Just how active are the active volcanoes and how close would we be to them?

Moving to Nicaragua
Lobo2626,
Nicaragua is getting a lot of attention as a place for people to retire, specially the city of Granada. Granada is a colonial town, very calm where tourist come and use it as a base to do tours from before continuing to ther parts of the country. We do have lots of volcanoes but the most active ones will be near the Leon area. Granada has 2 volcanoes close by The Mombacho (dormant) and the Masaya (Active: only emmmits gas) I am a tour guide in Nicaragua, if you have questions of any kind please feel free to ask my personal email is rodolfo.nicaragua@hotmail.com Finding long term rentals is not hard at all i can assist you with that, either you want a house or an apartment. |
