Suiuxgao, i can't tell you how fascinated i am about Arlen Siu. It makes me very sad that there is not much information about her online. If you were to write a book, please let me be the first to buy lol.

I will admit that my strong love for Arlen is because she was in the revolution and was Chinese Nicaragua, which i am too. I've read the replies on here and i now want to head to Jinotepe and look for her family! I want to see her photos, i want to hear stories about her, i want to see those videos! I've read she wrote critical essays, i would love to read her writing, everything! I hope they let me =)

I am from Nicaragua and live in Clemson, SC. I just wanted to tell you that my family knows your girlfriend family, my mother and her mother always enjoy talking every time she stopped by to shop as well with her Dad, I remember very well the revolution her sister, where they live etc. My sister and I used to go to Colegio Divino Pastor-Diriamba. Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about the revolution that Miss Siu became a Martir from, that was a waste of life (s), ingnorance and poor jugment on what was right or wrong for the country. Has you see nothing good was done, and until today still struggle and the poor are more poor than ever. The funny thing about all these things is that the people that contribute to this cause, the majority are in this country living just fine, a lot of then merry to Americans or someone from another country,and others are somewhere in South America, Europe, etc. I am merry to an American, and I am proud to be Nicaraguan, I had never participate nor have any opinion for who was right or wrong knowing that toward the end my opinion will never count or riches the interest of those who don't care about what the people have to say, when all they have in their mind is (POWER).

I also wanted to let you know that I love your country, I consider myself a GOOD citizen.

I just have a question, I saw an article about her family yesterday...what her parents doing now, are they still alive? The article said (was) in referred to her parents. Her mother is a sweet lady, I was at their home many times..
