I'm 49 years old. Just divorced and want to get out of Dodge. Heard it was nice there so I decided to relocate. Will be there next week. My questions are where is a nice place to live on the beach and what are the job possibilities? Speak fairly good Spanish and have a sales and marketing background. Went thru a brutal divorce and lost almost everything I worked for over the years. Need to work but want to live somewhere beautiful where I can meet people and the beer is cold. Would appriciate any advice on cost of living, job possibilities, paperwork and where to meet single ladies. Thanks,Eddy.

Visit SJDS
I would say go on down to San Juan del Sur and visit with the ex pats who are living there. Ask questions. Most hang out at Ricardos. Visit http://www.sanjuandelsur.org.ni. I believe the Lincoln School might have jobs for English teachers but it is located in Managua. Go to http://www.ibw.com.ni and see Lincoln's link. Another place to find ex pats is at the Irish Bar in Managua..only open at night and Granada is beginning to have more Northamericans. It is difficult to find a job in Nicaragua for Northamericans but it does not take that much to live. Good luck.
