Hiya, I'm from the UK & would really like to visit Nicaragua for Christmas/New Year - could anyone suggest a good place to stay & also suggest any reasonable accommodation - have no idea how much I would have to pay (for a double room), don't need anything fancy but something nice would be great! Have heard I can get great lobster & great fruit juice....can't wait...
Any suggestions as to places to go would be fantastic. Thanks very much |

What part of Nicaragua are you planning to visit! The Islands are the best. Puerto Cabeza,Corn Island,Bluefields,Pear Lagoon. Believe me, It is a blast!! Its all relaxation and fun!!!! It is not a rich country but believe me when a tell you that if you want to relax and have some fun, you are heading for the right direction. I have not spent a lot of time in Managua. I am from Puerto Cabeza and I have been in the United States for over 21 years. When I went back home I had so much fun.Try it you might fall in love.

The very best travel guide is Moon's Nicaragua Handbook. They are at http://www.moon.com. There is a UK phone number for you on the website. A place in Granada I like is http://www.nicaraguahostel.com (Hostal Oasis Granada). Also, surf http://www.ibw.com.ni and http://www.sanjuandelsur.org.ni. Good luck.John
