How is eveyone? Here I am 3 am and can't get to sleep. So I thought I would visit this site. I feel even more proud to be Nicaraguan whenever I see the pictures of the Fatherland here. I miss that place a lot! Growing up in the States was difficult for me, since there weren't that many Nicas in the Bay Area at the time. There were mostly Mexicans, whites and blacks around my neighborhood. The only Nicas where the members of my family that chose to live in the states (this was in the sixties). Boy, have we come far, huh? Now, there are whole communities of us here. Even our own websites! Well, I am going to try to sleep...goodnight all.

What part of the Bay area are you from?? I am from San Jose. My parents came to live in the United States back in the 70's when there was the war going on with the Sandinistas.
