Lightbulb hey there Kelly

Dear Kelly; my family is from the town of Rivas. That's the southern most province in nicaragua... The Kelly's and Thompson's came to nicaragua about a century ago through the bay town of San Juan del Sur. There both Inglish decendents that came to nicaragua to work for the Cable Company in San Juan. Other families that came during this time were also the Cross and Hollman family all originaly from England; There still living in Nicaragua... Before the war of 79' i've been told by my father that there was a gentelman who lived in the town of Rivas and established an import buisness. His name was Carlos Hollman Thompson... About the Kelly's i know that my grandmothers sister named Virginia Torres married a Fredrick Kelly and had a big family of about i think 8 or 9 kids. They all live in Florida know. I've been told aunt Virgina was the mayor of San Juan during the early 60's i think...
That's about all i know about the family your wondering about!! If you have any questins my e-mail is docchente@hotmail.com

Thompson

Hello,
My grandfather's brother, Thomas Thompson, came to Nicaragua from Scotland around 1890, lived in San Juan del Sur and Granada, and worked for the cable company. He married a Nicaraguan woman and they had about 7 children who lived, so there must be a lot of Thompsons around! I have more information, pictures, and letters. I would like to have more information, and to communicate with any relatives or others who know this family.
