1. popular foods
Tahara (strips of plantain bannana shalow fried (like a cracker) with some salted pork and shredded veg on top usualy wuth a jar of bloody hot chilly.

2. crops
Maize and the usual central american crops

3. meats
Most meats pig, duck, chicken, beef but i found chicken and pork were most common

4. vegetables & fruits
bannana, grapefruit, lime, papaya and many more.

5. regional items/foods

6. anything else interesting
Lake nicaragua home to the only known fresh water sharks also has its own tide, all the cities/villages went to sandanista except for Rivas which went to PLC Rene Martinez in the last election. also a bottle of beer is less than a £1
