FYI:
I know that must of you don't care, but for those that might, the bill was approved by The House of Representatives with a vote of 401-25. Here is what it would do (for the most part): - Raise annual limits for IRA (Individual Retirement Accounts) from $2,000 to $5,000 which would be phase in at $3,000 in year 2001, $4,000 in 2002 and $5,000 in 2003. - Allow taxpayers 50 and older to contribute $5,000 to an IRA immediately beginning in 2001. - Raise the allowed annual contributions to 401(k) retirement plans from $10,500 to $15,000 in the year 2005. ------------------ ~Capricorn~ |
