ISP in Nicaragua

The major gateway ISP in Nicaragua is http://www.ibw.com.ni. Check with them. It appears to me it is difficult to make money with an internet cafe in Nicaragua. For example,I use to visit Granada every 2 or 3 weeks. I would find a good cafe and come back to it in 3 weeks and it would be out of business and a new one would spring up. The rates kept falling and falling. The rates are cheaper in Managua. Another problem is the power will be out from time to time. There seems to me to be more risk than reward. In some places it is difficult to get a telephone line. It might be best to come for a visit first and ask around before you attempt to open shop. SanJuanJohn

Thumbs up Go down

Take a trip to Nica and spend some time in the area you want to try this. Then contact the provider yourself..

Just the same as in the US.. you'll pay for a service and may or may not get a deal. No need to pay someone to call an office for you and learn that office was right around the corner.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Find an area that had cable internet access and then you can hook several computers to the same line. either phone or cable access can take awhile to get hook up. The phone for our last business took us 3 months to be hooked up, but this saved us the price of buying an exisiting phone line from someone else and moving it. The isn't a great way to make money. It is very risky. also you will have to pay import duties on the computers if you bring more than 1 into the country yourself.

good luck
