I have finally located my mother's baptism certificate. She was baptized in El Templo Parroquial de Bluefields in 1921. Her mother's name was Inocente Avellan. Her father was in business there including wood exporting and shipping. He was a Chilean citizen named Arturo Gjerlow. They were married. Her padrinos were Onofre Sandoval and Ines de Carcache. I believe my grandmother also had a brother who may have been a priest named Jaime Avellan. I believe another relative was Victor Sandoval. Any information would be appreciated.
