My maiden name is Bolanos. My father was Bolanos Aviles. I have been unable to find the origin of Bolanos. I heard from a cousin that it was a Sephardic name but it's not listed on any Sephardic web sites. I would appreciate any information that you can give me on the Bolanos name.
