Increase in Nicaragua’s Tourism Options

In response to the growing number of tourists visiting Nicaragua, a number of new hotels have opened and tour operators have increased the number and choices of tour packages. In an interesting new initiative, Nicaragua’s Minister of Tourism, Mario Salinas, has signed an agreement with farmers in Nicaragua’s northern tobacco and coffee farming areas with the aim of developing the region’s tourism infrastructure.

A Delightful Stay at Santa Maria de Ostuma

Approximately fifteen minutes away from Matagalpa lies the El Arenal Nature Reserve. Here, amongst it’s more than a thousand four hundred hectares, live peaceful farming communities who practice sustainable farming as taught to them by conservation establishments.
