Nicaragua is a sovereign and democratic nation in Central America. It borders Honduras and Costa Rica. The western coastline is on the Pacific Ocean and the east side of the country is on the Caribbean Sea.
Nicaragua is one of the most financially disadvantaged countries in the western hemisphere. It has the lowest per capital income and massive unemployment. This fact, however, should not be a reason not to visit Nicaragua because while visiting Nicaragua you will find many a haven for artists of all nationalities.

Nicaragua is a country of immense natural wealth but it has been unfortunate to suffer from wars and calamities such as Hurricane Mitch which devastated the country and killed thousands in 1998. However, the country is slowly starting to emerge from its depressive state and grow into a place of promise.
