Turtle Watching Around Nicaragua

For nearly 6 months out of the year (roughly from July to December), hundreds of thousands of rare sea turtles return to the same beach in which they were born to lay millions of eggs. There are other places in the world that bear witness to turtle hatching, but Nicaragua is one of only four countries where turtle hatchings occur on such a large scale.

The Nicaraguan Poet Ruben Dario

Born poor, raised by his grandfather, knowing his father as an uncle and only visiting with his mother twice, published at the age of twelve, at fifteen read his own poetry before the president of his country, published his first book of poems (Azul) at twenty-one, credited with starting the modernism movement, beloved by the Spanish speaking world and barley known to anyone else, this was the life of Nicaraguan poet Ruben Dario.
